Often read reviews that the critics have given and I’m glad I didn’t listen to them. MSN; “The Lucky One” 1 star, Washington Post; “The Lucky One” 1 1/2 stars, you can see where this is going so I don’t need to go on.
In my estimation the movie has been very well put together from scene one on through the end. Chick Flick? Not really Logan (Efron) during his final tour with the Marines is setting on the ground when the sun glistens on an object laying in the dirt, he gets up to retrieve it from the dirt, sees a photo of a woman and on the backside it says Stay Safe. As he puts the photo in his hip pouch and turns around all hell breaks loose. From that point on he is in several incidents where he should have been killed but somehow he avoids any harm leaving him convinced that the photo is his guardian angel and is bound and determined to locate this woman and thank her for his safety.
My Rating: 3 1/2 Mugs of Guinness - aka; 3 1/2 Stars for those being too young to enjoy the Irish Ale.
