More to come, stay tuned...
Ok ladies, gents, boys and girls, I know you are all agreeing with me that this movie has topped any of it’s preceding lead-ins.  This one is well worth you going out to see as it is not only a great action filled movie but the humor will bring laughter from the entire audience.  I heard a couple of young children telling their mom how much they liked the movie and asking her if they could go back in and watch it again.  This being said from a child who has just sat through a 2 hour and 22 minute movie and wanting to turn around and sit through it again is in my estimation outstanding.  The writers put enough action laced with the perfect amount of comedy to keep the attention of even a 6 or 7 year old child wanting for more of the same!
As for myself, well I don’t need to say any more than it’s a great film with all the making of one that will sell big at the box office for weeks to come, not to mention the amount of sales that will be produced from DVD’s afterword.
With a budget of 200mil this film is well on its way to becoming an Iconic Superhero movie with one of the highest grossing box office openings of all times.  It would in short, be a shame if you don’t see it!!
Side note;  If you have the opportunity don’t miss it in the IMAX format, you won’t be disappointed in the least.
My Rating: 5 Mugs of Guinness - aka; 5 Stars for those being too young to enjoy the Irish Ale.

I have to post this even prior to seeing the movie, this info is worth you seeing it.  Information posted by The Hollywood Reporter 5/4/2012.
As of May 5, 2012 (am) prior to the theaters opening in the U.S. the Joss Whedon-directed 3D film already has earned $300 million overseas in slightly more than a week of play, topping the total lifetime grosses for Iron Man ($267 million), Thor ($268 million) and Captain America: The First Avenger ($192 million) -- whose characters also are in Avengers. It should eclipse Iron Man 2 ($311.5) by Saturday at the latest.  Add to this total another 18.7 million in the Thursday midnight runs, a record for a superhero title and eighth best of all time.
Now for the rest of the story...
(MTV.com) When it comes to superhero team-ups, it looks like the whole truly is greater than the sum of its parts: The Avengers rocked the box office over the weekend, shattering all domestic opening weekends with an estimated $200 million kickoff.  Significantly higher than the previous holder, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt2, which collected $169.2 million when it opened last year.
Marvel’s landmark comic book flick, which unites Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) against an otherworldly threat - became the fastest movie ever to reach $100 million, $150 million and $200 million at the box office.  The Avengers also enjoyed the highest per-theater average ever for a nationwide release with $46,057 per theater.
Each Avenger has existed within the same Marvel movie universe since Samuel L. Jackson’s first post-credits appearance as Nick Fury in 2008’s Iron Man.  With the start of its own studio, Marvel was able to circumvent the multiple licensing issues that prevented their heroes from crossing over in films like Spider-Man (Sony), and Fantastic Four (Fox).  The avengers made more in three days than the entire runs of “Captain America: The First Avenger” ($176.6 mil), “Thor” ($181 mil), “The Incredible Hulk” ($134.8 mil).  By this weekend, it should surpass Iron Man, and Iron Man 2 with $318.4 mil and $312.4 mil respectively.
