SEEKING JUSTICE (Mar 16, 2012 - US release)

Starring:  Nicolas Cage, January Jones, and Guy Pearce
Director:  Roger Donaldson
Rated: R  -  Runtime:  105 min
Genre:  Action | Drama | Thriller
Being released in Italy on Sep 2, 2011, this film finally made it’s way to the US.  What the hell took so long?
The story line, plot, and acting is done very well by Cage, Jones, and Pearce.
Will Gerard (Cage) is a school teacher who is so in love with his wife Laura (Jones) and one night a dreadful turn of events take place putting his wife in the hospital (brutally beaten and raped by some hoodlum).  The events that take place following this event will lead to the demise of Will because of the lengths he is willing to go to avenge his wife’s tragedy.
You will find the action and suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat, awaiting the next move in the plot.  It’s great to see a movie that keeps your attention, and this is one that does just that!
From me to you, go out and spend a few bucks to see this movie.... I think you’re going to agree with me when I say, Cage is great in this film!  Even if you aren’t a Cage fan, I think you will like him in this part.
My Rating: 3 1/2 Mugs of Guinness - aka; 3 1/2 Stars for those being too young to enjoy the Irish Ale.

JEFF, WHO LIVES AT HOME (Apr 19, 2012)

Starring:  Jason Segel, Ed Helms, Judy Greer, and Susan Sarandon
Directors:  Jay Duplass and Mark Duplass
Rated: R  -  Runtime:  83 min
Genre:  Comedy
This film appeared out of the blue, or at least I hadn’t seen it on the list of movies playing, or maybe I saw it and assumed by the name that it was a “B” rated movie and decided not to spend the time.  At any rate, I took the opportunity to go out to see it and wasn’t disappointed.
This movie is quite a surprise to those seeing it, the comedy created by Jeff (Segel), Pat, his brother (Helms), and Sharon, their mother (Sarandon) leave the audience laughing out loud throughout the film.
Jeff, being a 30 year old adult living at home with Mom is searching for the cosmic meaning of his existence, and with one simple phone call the day begins his journey to destiny.  Over the period of this one day in his life he is taken on a event filled search for the meaning of the words from the man on the other end of the telephone call that morning....In search for “Kevin” and the meaning behind this random call.  In the end his destiny is fulfilled!
If you get the chance, go see this one.  I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
My Rating: 3 Mugs of Guinness - aka; 3 Stars for those being too young to enjoy the Irish Ale.
