THE FIVE-YEAR ENGAGEMENT (Apr 27, 2012)

Starring:  Jason Segel, Emily Blunt and Chris Platt
Director:  Nicholas Stoller
Rated: R  -  Runtime:  124 min
Genre:  Comedy | Romance
I’m back from my Hawaiian Cruise and will try to catch up, so here it goes.
I’ve listened to several people who have seen the movie, some liked it, some hated it it was about 50/50.  As for me, I thought the movie was well worth my time.  It kept my interest in the film as well as giving me moments when I found myself laughing out loud at the content.  If you enjoy a good comedy laced with the romantic side this one is for you.
Between Tom (Segel) and Violet (Blunt) they keep the comedy coming in a special portrayal of what would happen between to people in love and torn due to the problems that arise because of their jobs.  Tom is a successful chef in San Francisco and Violet has received an offer from a college in Wisconsin for a internship in Psychology department.  Due to the timeframe Tom decided to up and quit his position in SF and relocate with Violet to Wisconsin.  Now, imagine if you can how this would play out in your life and how you would work it through...  The ups and downs of the two caused some very comedic situations and in the end... No, I’m not gonna screw up the movie by giving you the ending.
Go see this movie and let us know what you thought.
My Rating: 3 1/2 Mugs of Guinness - aka; 3 1/2 Stars for those being too young to enjoy the Irish Ale.
