"DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK (Aug 2011)

Starring: Katie Holmes (Kim), Guy Pearce (Alex), and Bailee Madison (Sally)+++
Director: Troy Nixey
Rated:  R   Runtime:  99 minutes
If you are a horror/thriller genre junkie this is one which you are going to enjoy.  It is packed with plenty of what the horror film junkie is waiting for, and you won’t be waiting long for the movie to start putting you on the edge of your seat.... Don’t have expectations of being frightened every minute, but when it does happen the writers have done a great job.  However, I think that more could have been done with the events leading up to the “basement scene”(but I’ll leave it there, and you can follow up with your comments).
The acting of Bailee Madison (Sally) has the audience captivated.  As for the unexpected ending, I think you will be surprised at it, I know I was! What no sequels?  Bummer!!!
I Rate it:  2.5 mugs of Guinness.

“Let’s Talk Movies” ... Please tell us what you thought of the movie !

Affraid of the Dark was a good movie, But not as good as the original movie. The creatures in the retake of the original movie were pretty creepy. But the original had way more to leave to the imagination... All in all it was ok if you are a fear freek...

Thanks Anonymous,
Would like hearing more from you on future movies, not always do we see the movie in the same way, but you are right, the original left more to the imagination. Hope to hear from you soon,
AZ-Tom
