Yea, it finally came to our area, unfortunately late as usual but nonetheless, it arrived!
I was leery of what to expect after having limited release in Dec and not opening here until Jan. But to my surprise I enjoyed the film in it's entirety.
After doing the research and finding out that Scarlett Johansson had become the frontrunner for the part of Marilyn with Kate Hudson, Amy Adams, and Michelle Williams being the runner-ups, I now know why Michelle Williams was chosen, she portrays wonderfully the part of Marilyn Monroe. Her demeanor, sense of delivery, and onscreen beauty brought to this film is simply fantastic.
Every moment of the film keeps you engaged. The film brought to us memories of a young mans diary accounts of one week with Marilyn during a 1957 production of the film "The Prince and the Showgirl".
If you haven't seen it yet, go see it. I believe you will enjoy it!
My Rating: 3 1/2 Mugs of Guinness - aka; 3 1/2 Stars for those not enjoying the better life with Irish Ale.
