TITANIC (Re-release in 3D - Mar 23, 2012)

Starring:  Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Billy Zane, and Kathy Bates
Director:  James Cameron
Rated: PG-13  -  Runtime:  194 min
Genre:  Adventure | Drama | History | Romance
TITANIC, originally released in 1997, and now in 2012 being re-released in 3D has made it’s way to the hearts of the public once again.  I thought the movie, whether it was 3D or not was as good the 2nd time around as it was the first.  A classic must have for your library.  No, it doesn’t matter which format it’s in it is simply one of the best movies of all time.  I know that sitting through 3 hours of film is tough for alot of you or you simply don’t have the time, nonetheless, if you don’t already have it on dvd this is a must have!  At least that way you can stop it and restart it at your convenience and still keep up with the movie.
Rating this film will not be difficult after what I just said.  Let me know if you agree or not......
As for the 3D, they did a great job with this one.  So many just don’t cut it once it is taken from 2D to 3D.  The 3D crossover was done very nicely to say the least!  And getting to see it on the Big Screen (IMAX) made it even better....12,000 watts of sound to add to the effects..Wow!
My Rating: 5 Mugs of Guinness - aka; 5 Stars for those being too young to enjoy the Irish Ale.

SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN (Mar 9, 2012)

Starring:  Ewan McGregor, Emily Blunt, Amr Waked, and Kristin Scott Thomas
Director:  Lasse Hallstrom
Rated: PG-13  -  Runtime:  107 min
Genre:  Comedy | Drama | Romance
Folks, this one crawled out of the dark recesses of “I don’t know where”, but with the actors/actress I thought it might just be of significant value to let you know about it.
Actually this film was a big surprise to me and I’m sure to many others who gave it a “So-So” rating.  Myself along with an entire theater filled with people sat and chuckled throughout the movie, the comedy is great!  I must admit this is one that I am going to ask you to go see and let me know what you think, I thought it was good and deserved a “GO” not the “So-So” that the quote/unquote Critics gave it...  We all know the actor and actress which appeared in this film, and with their sense of delivery to each scene truly made the film!
My Rating: 3 1/2 Mugs of Guinness - aka; 3 1/2 Stars for those being too young to enjoy the Irish Ale.

AMERICAN REUNION (Mar 23, 2012)

Starring:  Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Seann William Scott, and Chris Klein
Directors:  Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg
Rated: R  -  Runtime:  113 min
Genre:  Comedy
If you think you are going to get much more than “American Pie” think again!  The same goofy antics that came out Pie went into Reunion.  Of course the actors have gotten older but really none of them have changed.  Same goofy guys and gals, the only one that doesn’t look to have aged at all is Stifler (Scott), he looks the same as he did in the original American Pie released in 1999.
The plot had it’s ups and downs, but overall it way ok... I’m not going to throw any punches here, it’s worth the time and bucks if you’re just out for a “I wanna see a goofy movie” night.  But wouldn’t recommend getting it on dvd, or spending the cash just to see the film because you liked all the others.  You are not going to find much difference in the type of comedy acted out from Pie to Reunion.  Agree or not?? Let me know!
